Will deciduous (baby) teeth unlock the key to diagnosis?
We are excited to read this new research coming out of the United States about the potential to diagnose prenatal alcohol exposure by examining deciduous teeth (baby teeth) that are naturally shed between the age of 5 and 12.
As with all new research reports, please bear in mind that the control size tested was
very small so the next step is to test an increased sample.
Hopefully a wider study can take place soon, to further validate the outcomes reported.
